PATHWAYS FOR QUALIFIED EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT
Pathway 01 // Sovereign and Foundation
For governments, ministries, IP offices, standards bodies, multilateral institutions, and foundations commissioning standards development, policy-grade research, and programme-level mandates. The Institute engages as an institutional peer, not a party seeking a particular outcome.
Engagements at this tier are typically multi-year and standard-setting in nature. They shape the published record and the standards on which the whole category will eventually rely.
How to InitiateSend a formal request on institutional letterhead identifying the institution, the matter on which engagement is sought, and the form proposed. A brief on the relevant jurisdiction, programme, or standard is welcome but not required at first contact. The Institute will respond with the next step, the right people, and an indicative scope. Correspondence reaches the inbox.

Send a brief introduction: your organisation, the application category, and the ingredient, market, or knowledge domain of interest. You need not have identified an asset at this stage.
enquiries@chiranduinstitute.comPathway 03 // Academic Partnership
For universities, research centres, and individual researchers working with the Institute's Archive, frameworks, and characterisation data. Covers joint research, sponsored research, data partnership, co-authored publication, and curriculum collaboration across the Institute's five research domains.
The Institute qualifies academic partners against the same standard as any other: whether the work bears on the Archive or extends it, whether attribution and data-use terms are clear, and whether the result adds to the published record. Work is governed by a collaboration agreement.
How to InitiateSend a short proposal: lead researcher and collaborators, institutional affiliations, the research question, the data or frameworks required, and a brief statement of how the work connects to the Institute's domains. Detail can follow; this is enough to route it to the right reviewer.

For institutional, commercial, and academic members holding continuing access to the Knowledge Archive, the Flavour Lexicon, and the Regional Palate Atlas under tiered membership. The relevant tier for organisations that need the Institute's intelligence as a continuing reference rather than as a single engagement.
Access is tiered by usage, sector, and jurisdiction, with academic citation rights distinguished from commercial application rights. White-label arrangements for internal systems are available under licence.
How to InitiateSend a brief description of your organisation and the access you require, by asset and by depth: the Knowledge Archive, the Flavour Lexicon, the Regional Palate Atlas, or a combination, and whether the intended use is academic citation or commercial application. The Institute will return the applicable tier, the terms, and an indicative annual subscription figure, and identify where a white-label arrangement is instead the better route.
